The Australian Breastfeeding Association (ABA) is a voluntary organisation established in 1964 to encourage and support mothers who wish to breastfeed their babies and to promote skilled and loving mothering, while creating in the community an awareness of the importance of human milk.
The NSW Central Coast region runs;
- Antenatal classes every 5-6 weeks
- Has 5 mother-to-mother support groups- Berkeley Vale, Erina, Gorokan, Kariong and Wyoming
- Provides counselling in person at group get-togethers, by phone and email.
The website has many informative articles and has a forum for parents.
A subscription to ABA includes 6 issues of our member magazine Essence as well as a copy of our breastfeeding book 'Breastfeeding ... naturally'
